Fiona Moffat is on a mission to find the best spots to visit across Scotland with three pups in tow.

She took us to her favourite spots for sea views and seafood, which have also had the wag of approval from Baxter, Bluebell and Fergie.

Arisaig Shellfish Shack

I am patiently awaiting the season reopening of Arisaig Shellfish Shack on May 10. Whether you are looking to indulge in a seafood platter for a romantic night in front of the fire or a pint of prawns to enjoy whilst watching the sunset with friends on Traigh beach, the Shack delivers a variety of fresh shellfish.

Isle of Harris

Harris is stunning even without blue skies. Image: Fiona Moffat

Even on the gloomiest of days, the beaches on the Isle of Harris are, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful in the world. I could sit for hours sheltered by the sand dunes watching the storms roll in, bringing waves from the Atlantic crashing towards the vast white sandy beaches. July is definitely the best time to visit to experience the colourful machair in full bloom.

Isle of Arran

Often referred to as Scotland in miniature, this is an ideal destination to get to on a Friday night when you finish work in Glasgow with the Calmac ferry terminal at Ardrossan being less than an hour’s drive. Delicious food, an abundance of wildlife, beaches, glens, Corbetts and even dinosaur footprints await your arrival.
