If you are heading to Edinburgh for the Fringe this month, you’re going to need some good grub to keep you going through the festivities.
We asked foodie Leigh Brown for her current favourite spots in the capital in case you are in need of a little inspiration.
Makars Mash Bar
If you’re looking for some good, hearty, Scottish comfort food then look no further…
Located in the heart of the city, this is one of my favourite restaurants in Edinburgh and is always top of my list 0f recommendations to anyone visiting.
Pablo Eggsgobao
Breakfast in a bao bun – a combination I didn’t expect to work but, believe me, it does. The term ‘hidden gem’ is thrown around quite a lot these days but I can’t think of a better way to describe this spot. Friendly staff, delicious food and even options for your furry friend.
The Skyline Restaurant
You don’t have to be a Hearts fan to enjoy this one… but it helps! It’s an award winning restaurant which I think is thoroughly deserved. Although it’s not the biggest of menus, with the options they have there’s something for everyone and the food is outstanding every time.
