When Jo Page isn’t working with Visit Inverness Loch Ness to promote the Highland capital, or training for her upcoming charity hike from Lands End to John O Groats, you’ll likely find her off adventuring in her trusty camper, Colin.

We asked Jo for her favourite spots to visit both at home and further afield.

The views from Stac Pollaidh are some of the finest you can see in the Highlands. A small mountain that packs a huge punch, Assynt is a very special place.

Inverness Botanic Gardens

There is a lot of talk about visiting hidden gems, but this really is the perfect definition of one. Tucked away in Inverness, you can explore the tropical house, cactus house, or just take a moment in the beautiful gardens, all year round. The cafe also does excellent scones!

Nisabost Beach

The isle of Harris is an incredible island and although there are many phenomenal beaches, Nisabost has always had a special place in my heart from the moment I first visited in 2018. You can walk the beach and up to the MacLeod’s stone and – on a good day – take in views from over to Luskentyre, Taransay and beyond. It’s absolutely magical.
