No matter how many times you have been to Glasgow and Edinburgh, there is always something new to discover.
Lucy Paul is a food blogger based in Edinburgh who loves sharing her favourite things to see, do and – of course – eat.
We challenged her to pick her top three spots to visit so you can get planning your 2024 adventures.
The Free Company
If you are looking for the ultimate foodie experience, The Free Company are a regenerative farm in Balerno run by brothers, Charlie and Angus. They serve up a six-course menu filled with food from the farm, communal style.
It’s a gorgeous evening to share with friends and family. I love it so much I’m getting married there this year!
Greenbank Garden
Searching for a peaceful oasis outside of the busy city? Greenbank Garden is situated in the suburbs of the Southside of Glasgow and cared for by the National Trust for Scotland.
With a walled garden, woodland walks and a brilliant café (with a pack your own picnic station!) it’s a lovely day out, especially with spring just around the corner.
Le Di-Vin
When you are in need of a big glass of wine, Le Di-Vin will definitely hit the spot with 30 wines by the glass to choose from.
Tucked away in the West End of Edinburgh, it totally transports you to a bustling French wine bar. Their sharing platters are delicious, and you can even book a raclette evening!
