FEATURING in one of her recipes can cause a rush on a supermarket’s most obscure ingredients.

But Nigella Lawson’s love of tartan has now prompted her fashion-conscious fans to plump for plaid.

One of the TV cookery queen’s favourite designers has told how one of her tartan dresses is selling like hotcakes.

And Nigella herself has put in an order for 12 Bombshell dresses by Katya Wildman, including the all-new tartan version.

Katya said: “The phone has not stopped ringing. Nigella started the craze for tartan. Customers are clamouring for her style.”

The dress took off because its stretchy tartan material is forgiving on the curviest of figures.

Katya added: “People are asking for their own tartans and we are trying to source them from Scottish mills.”
