The number of deaths related to coronavirus in Scotland has now reached 4,276, according to National Records of Scotland statistics.
The weekly release of figures showed that 20 deaths were registered between September 28 and October 4, double the number of the previous week.
Six of these deaths took place in care homes, 13 in hospitals and one in another institution type.
This figure differs to the daily totals announced by Nicola Sturgeon as it includes deaths where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate and not just those where there has been a positive test result.

Weekly deaths involving the virus peaked in the week ending April 26, with 661 recorded.
The numbers dropped throughout the summer as lockdown measures had an effect, with a low of two in the week ending September 6.
However, numbers appear to be on the rise again, with the total for last week double that of the previous week.
The First Minister will announce later today (Wednesday) further restrictions in a bid to slow down the fast-rising number of cases.
