A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a falling piece of ceiling at a train station in Glasgow.
A Scotrail spokesman said the incident happened in a corridor at the Dundas Street level of Glasgow’s Queen Street station.
A plasterboard panel fell and struck the woman, leaving her with a cut on her head.
A statement from the Scottish Ambulance Service states the women is in her sixties and being treated for a head injury.

A Network Rail spokesman said: “Following an incident this morning when a piece of debris fell within the station we have suspended all building work at Glasgow Queen Street.”
Structural assessments have confirmed this was an isolated incident linked to the building work taking place above, but that the wider area is structurally sound.

The area immediately below is still closed off, but the entrances / exits onto Dundas St are both open.
No other passengers were harmed.
