We’re two down and have two still to go in the Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail auctions this week.
Dundee and Aberdeenshire’s instalments have already raised a very impressive total of £555,700 with hopes that Glasgow and Edinburgh’s auctions will raise a whole lot more for Scotland’s children’s hospital charities.
Each children’s hospital charity are holding auctions for the sculptures in their regions.
This is your chance to buy a collector’s item from Scotland’s unforgettable summer.
The first auction, of Dundee sculptures, took place on Monday evening at Dundee Rep and raised £239,000 for Archie Tayside.
On Tuesday, at the Thainstone Centre in Inverurie, Aberdeen and Inverness sculptures went under the hammer, and raised £316,700 for Archie Grampian.
Edinburgh’s auction kicks off tomorrow evening at Prestonfield House and Glasgow’s will finish the trail on Friday at Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
The Sunday Post will be providing you with exclusive coverage of both auctions, with live updates, totals and content as the nights unfold.
