MODEL Penny Lancaster is considering joining the police.
The wife of Sir Rod Stewart is tempted to become a special constable after training with the force for Channel 4 show Famous And Fighting Crime.
As part of filming she took part in, and worked on, the front lines of law enforcement.
Penny said training for the show and putting her skills into practice had given her a taste for fighting crime.
She said: “I want to do it. I’ve had a conversation with the sergeant and he said they’d love to have me join the force.”
Sir Rod’s wife of 11 years, who is a regular panellist on TV show Loose Women, revealed that training for the police would fit into her schedule, but it may leave rocker Rod feeling slightly nervous.
She said: “When he first heard I wanted to do the show he said: ‘Brilliant. You go, girl.’
“But when it got under way and he realised what was involved, he worried more. He’s a worrier anyway.”
During filming for the show, which will be broadcast on February 11, Penny was faced with a drug dealer who threatened to stab her, and cornered the suspect after an intense chase on foot.
