Dougal is a cheeky little Yorkshire terrier who is ready to find his new family. He is currently being cared for by the Scottish SPCA Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
He is a typical wee terrier, full of energy and loves to be on the go. He likes getting fuss and attention, but in his own time.
Once he gets to know you he enjoys being a lap dog, but can be very cheeky at times. As such, The Scottish SPCA believes he would benefit from an adult-only home, or a home with older children.
Dougal enjoys going for walks with his canine friends and walks well on a lead. However, staff at the centre think he might enjoy having all the attention to himself so he would best be suited to being the only pet in the house.
Due to his breed, Dougal will require regular grooming. However, he does not tolerate it so any adopter will need to keep this in mind and build up gradually to going to the groomers or being groomed in the home.
Dougal shows signs of having his basic commands, but he may need a little bit of a refresher when he gets to his new home.
If you think you could give Dougal his new home, please apply via the Scottish SPCA website.
