FALKLAND in Fife has been undergoing a makeover as it prepares to welcome back the cast and crew of hit drama Outlander.
The village will stand in for Inverness, with filming expected to take place on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th January.
Gift shop Fayre Earth has been repainted and made to look like a furniture and hardware store called Farrells and Sons, with a new window display featuring vintage tools.
Campbell’s Coffee House and Eatery has been transformed in what looks to be a grocery store, with stalls outside and piles of fruit and vegetables.
Falkland High Street, East Port, Cross Wynd and Mill Wynd are expected to be closed off until Friday.
Many local businesses have announced they will close on Thursday and Friday.
After a dramatic series three finale, the production is now filming its fourth series.
