POLICE in Fort William have issued an appeal for information after a dumper truck was stolen from a construction site.
The vehicle was taken from a site on the A830 at Criche Bridge, Lochailort, sometime between 5.30pm on Friday, March 9 and 7am on Monday, March 12.
Entry was gained to the site and the unknown culprits removed the forward tipping dumper truck, registration SE17 ZBD, from within the compound.
The yellow six tonne vehicle is valued at around £25,000.
Detective Constable Liam Devine said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would urge anybody who saw a vehicle matching this description being moved in the area over the weekend to get in touch.
“I would also ask anybody who noticed any suspicious activity by people or vehicles in the area to get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police in Fort William on 101 quoting reference number NP/1491/18.
