POLICE have recovered a body from the Forth and Clyde Canal in the Maryhill area of Glasgow.
The body, pulled out of the water at lunchtime today, is believed to be that of Thomas Keenan.
The 21-year-old has been missing since November 21 last year.
A police spokesperson said: “Around 1250 hrs on Thursday 4 January 2018 the body of a man was recovered from the Forth and Clyde Canal near to Ruchill Street in Maryhill.
“Although formal identification has still to take place, officers believe that it is Thomas Keenan and his family has been informed.
“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
