THE Post Office, BT and Vodafone have topped complaints rankings for telecoms and pay-TV services as the regulator warned that some providers were falling “a long way short” for their customers.
Post Office attracted the most complaints among landline providers at 17 complaints made to regulator Ofcom for every 100,000 customers, followed by TalkTalk and BT, on 16 and 15 respectively, over the three months to June.
BT drew the most complaints among broadband providers, at 28 complaints per 100,000 customers, and also jointly topped the complaints table for pay monthly mobile companies with Vodafone with 11 complaints.
It is the first time BT has been included in Ofcom’s mobile pay-monthly ranking after gaining sufficient market share.

TalkTalk also attracted the second-highest number of complaints among broadband providers and the third highest for its mobile pay-monthly service.
Total complaints for each of the four services decreased during the first half of 2017, the regulator said.
Jane Rumble, Ofcom’s director of consumer policy, said: “Complaints about telecoms and pay-TV may be falling this year, but some providers are falling a long way short on customer service.
“There can be no room for complacency.
“We expect providers, particularly those who have been consistently under-performing, to make service quality and complaints handling their number one priority.”
