INVESTIGATIONS are underway after a letter containing white powder was sent to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The package, addressed to the couple at Kensington Palace, sparked security fears amid concern the substance could be anthrax.
After being intercepted the powder was revealed to be harmless, and both Prince Harry and Meghan have been informed of the incident.
The Evening Standard reports that officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism command were called in after the letter was sent to the palace on February 12, a day before police revealed a package containing white powder had been sent to the Palace of Westminster.
Detectives are now investigating who sent the letter, and whether it is linked to the second white powder package posted in the same week.
