RANGERS have announced the signing of defender Connor Goldson.

The 25-year-old signs for the Ibrox club from Brighton on a four-year deal.

He told the Rangers website: “I am delighted to join Rangers, even though it hasn’t taken that long to sign it seems like it has taken forever.

“I am just pleased to finally get it done and to get the chance to showcase my abilities at a massive club with a huge fan base.”

The acquisition of the defender is the latest in a revamp of the squad under new boss Steven Gerrard.

Jamie Murphy’s loan deal was made permanent, and Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor also brought in.

Ovie Ejaria arrives on loan from Liverpool, and centre-back Nikola Katic signed a deal yesterday.

Gerrard took his first session at the club’s training ground today.

Heading out of the door, however, is Joe Dodoo.

Earlier today, the club announced that he had signed a one-year loan deal with League One side Blackpool.

The 22-year-old striker spent the first half of last season on loan with Charlton has found first team opportunities limited since signing under Mark Warburton.

Also likely for an exit is Michael O’Halloran, who could be heading for Australian side Melbourne City.
