The 21-year-old has only had 26 minutes of action since joining Rangers on a season-long loan. The Light Blues manager has spoken of his disappointment at Sadiq’s performances and challenged him to prove he is worthy of a place in the team. Asked if he could be sent back to his parent club, Gerrard said: “It’s not something that we’ve thought about, and it’s not something we’d try and do. “What we want is the real, aggressive Sadiq. That’s we’ve paid for, that’s what we’ve asked for, that’s what we’ve got in. “This is me trying a different way to get it out of him because I’ve tried other ways.” Enjoy the convenience of having The Sunday Post delivered as a digital ePaper straight to your smartphone, tablet or computer.
