RANGERS fans have a number of ideas on who they want to replace Pedro Caixinha, according to a poll carried out on our website over the past 24 hours.

Of the respondants, just under 24% backed Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes to take over.

Second favourite was former England manager Sam Allardyce on 18%, followed by Belgian Michel Preud’homme on 11%.

8.8% chose the ‘Other’ option on our list, opting to fill in their own suggestions.

Names suggested for the role included: Garry Monk, Giovanni Van Bronckhurst, Alex Neil, Tim Sherwood, David Moyes, Laurent Blanc, Luis Enrique, Kevin Keegan and Ronald Koeman.

There were also votes for Stuart McCall, Lee Johnson, Harry Redknapp, Barry Ferguson, Ally McCoist, Patrick Vieira, Chris Coleman, Richard Gough, Sean Dyche, Graeme Souness, a Michael & Brian Laudrup duo and Michael O’Neill.

Other, perhaps less than serious, suggestions included former Celtic boss Ronny Deila, Mickey Mouse and simply ‘Me’.

And one respondent called for the board to be sacked.

Of those that completed the poll, 85% thought it was the right decision to sack Caixinha.
