Under-20s coach Paul Sheerin is understood to be taking his place in front of the media ahead of Friday’s match against Dundee. McInnes and assistant Tony Docherty missed the Dons’ training sessions this morning and yesterday as a move to Rangers looks increasingly likely. The Ibrox club had a request to speak to former player McInnes rejected by Aberdeen earlier this week. A compensation fee of around £1 million would have to be agreed between the sides for the appointment to be made.
