The Sunday Post’s reporting on the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan has been recognised at the Refugee Festival Scotland media awards.
Reporters Mark Aitken and Craig McDonald won the News category for a series of stories detailing the plight of Afghan refugees fleeing from the Taliban and famine and how some had found refuge in Scotland.

The Refugee Festival Scotland media awards celebrate the work of journalists covering refugee and asylum stories in Scotland.
Other winners were the Press and Journal’s Lindsay Bruce in the local news category, STV’S Kaye Nicolson for broadcast and The Ferret’s Karin Goodwin for features.
