Music professionals and those looking to break into the industry will return to Glasgow’s Barras Art & Design Centre (BAaD) for the third annual RESONATE event later this year.

The conference takes place on Thursday November 14, promising to be an unmissable event for industry professionals, musicians, music students and diehard music fans.

The aim is to create a safe, friendly platform that encourages individuals from the musical community to engage with one another, built on four integral pillars – collaboration, creativity, accessibility and development.

Organisers have pledged to PRS Foundation’s Keychange Programme which aims to achieve a 50:50 gender balance across festivals and conference programmes by 2020.

A number of live events will be held in the lead up to the main conference, each focusing on a specific genre.

With a commitment to be an inclusive event, RESONATE are introducing their new deposit scheme which will allow delegates to reserve their ticket with an initial £25 payment.

Two more subsequent payments of £25 will then secure the full day delegates pass.

In addition to this new payment plan, there will be the introduction of a student discount pass which will be available for those who hold a valid student card at the time of purchase.

Robert Kilpatrick, General Manager at the Scottish Music Industry Association, said: “Events like this are so important, no matter where they are, but with Glasgow being such a strong music city with a lot of people doing a lot of amazing creative things, it needs a focal point and event like RESONATE.

“Everyone can come together to network, learn from each other, talk about challenges & opportunities and find new ways to collaborate and grow the industry for the benefit of all.”
