Chevy is a handsome Rottweiler cross who is looking for an experienced new home. He is currently in the care of the Scottish SPCA Highlands and Islands Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
He can be nervous and unsure when meeting new people, and can react by barking. Once he gets to know you however he is very playful.
Chevy doesn’t realise his size and when he is playing, and he can get very bouncy and boisterous. He can become mouthy like a big puppy, and it can take him a while to calm down when he gets overexcited. Due to this he would be best suited to an adult only home, with an owner who has the time and patience to continue his training.
Chevy walks well on his lead, but when he is in a new environment or if he sees another dog he can become very strong. It can take a bit of time to regain his focus and attention.
Although he is improving, he can still be unsure around other dogs. He would love a home in a quiet or rural area where he can slowly continue his socialisation without becoming overwhelmed.
He will need to be kept on a lead when out for walks so would love to have a large, private and secure garden where he can run around.
With the right owner Chevy will thrive. If you would like to give him his forever home, please apply via the Scottish SPCA website.
