A RAILWAY line between Glasgow and Edinburgh will close for ten days from this evening to allow electrification work.
The route between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh Waverley via Shotts will have replacement bus services operating instead of trains from 9pm tonight (Thursday 29) until 6am on Monday April 9.
Passengers are warned to expect longer journey times and to plan their trip in advance.
Passengers are reminded to #planahead as #Edinburgh – #Glasgow via #Shotts line closes for 10 days from tonight.

As part of the work, Livingston South station will be revamped to adapt platforms for new electric trains on the route.
Works will also be taking place elsewhere on the line to install, or prepare to install, overhead electric wires.
The work does not affect the line between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh Waverley.
