SCOTS commentator Derek Rae will feature on the new FIFA 19 video game.
Rae, currently working in the US for ESPN, has been a familiar voice on BT Sport’s Scottish football coverage in recent years.
He’ll join Arsenal legend Lee Dixon in recording voiceovers for gameplay in European competitions – a new addition in FIFA 19.
In an interview with FourFourTwo magazine, the game’s executive producer Aaron McHary revealed that the latest edition of the gaming series would include the UEFA Champions League for the first time.
It will also include the Europa League and Super Cup.
“[Rae and Dixon] will feature across all our UEFA experiences – it’s going to feel markedly different from a regular FIFA match,” said McHary.
“We want our players to feel like they’re truly front and centre in the Champions League experience….. Authenticity is extremely important when bringing these iconic tournaments to life.”
The current FIFA commentary team of Martin Tyler and Alan Smith are expected to return as well.
The new FIFA game is released on September 28 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
