Scottish band Moonlight Zoo have been named as one of three finalists in Hard Rock Cafe’s global Battle of the Bands competition.
The group, from Dunfermline, finished in the top three following a public vote and join two other acts from Nashville and Curitiba, Brazil on an all-expenses paid trip to New York.
Guess who's going to New York?! ???
A massive thank you to @HardRock for this incredible opportunity, and most importantly to everyone of you for the unbelievable support – we couldn't have done it without you!!! pic.twitter.com/6Xjcuo9oXb

They’ll be given the opportunity to perform in the Big Apple’s Hard Rock Cafe and in front of leading music industry executives, with a top prize of $15,000 on offer.
The band said: “A massive thank you to Hard Rock for this incredible opportunity, and most importantly to everyone of you for the unbelievable support – we couldn’t have done it without you!”
Moonlight Zoo were one of two acts from last month’s Glasgow heat that went through to the public vote.
Alongside Glasgow’s Sara ‘N’ Junbug, they were pitted against ten bands from host cities around the world.
Moonlight Zoo follow in the footsteps of Scots band 100 Fables, who reached the global finals back in 2016 and Break The Butterfly, who celebrated similar success in 2015.
