The longlist for this year’s Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award will be announced at a special event this summer.
The Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh will host Live at the Longlist on July 26, featuring performances from some of Scotland’s best creative talent and SAY alumni including C Duncan and Kobi Onyame.
There’ll also be a unique collaboration between Idlewild’s Rod Jones and Modern Studies.
The twenty outstanding Scottish albums that will make up longlist for 2019 will be exclusively revealed on the night, which celebrates the incredible strength and diversity of Scottish music.
The live gig will also be raising funds for Help Musicians Scotland, The SAY Award’s charity partner for 2019.
Artists, promoters and fans can still nominate their top picks, with album submissions closing at midnight tomorrow (31 May).
Over 260 albums have already been submitted in the awards’ eighth year.
The winner will be crowned on September 6 at Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms, the first time the event has taken place in the capital.
Tickets for Live at the Longlist are available now at sayaward.com
