AN ambulance had to be called at Westminster after Natalie McGarry, the Independent MP for Glasgow East, collapsed during Prime Minister’s Questions.
Ms McGarry has now taken to twitter to announce the happy news that she fainted due to a pregnancy, and that the medics were called in ‘as a precaution’. Congratulatory posts have been flooding in for McGarry and her husband on Twitter.
Ms McGarry is a former SNP MP but resigned the SNP whip after allegations of money offences. McGarry maintains there was no wrongdoing on her part.
It remains to be seen whether Ms McGarry will keep her seat in the upcoming June elections, as her competition will include SNP councillor Rosa Zambonini.
