THE MSP block at the Scottish Parliament has been evacuated after two suspect packages were found.
Two fire and rescue appliances, along with several specialist units, were called to the scene.
The alarm was raised at around 11.32am.
Reports suggest Conservative Highlands and Islands MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston opened an envelope which was found to contain white powder.

A second envelope, which is not believed to have been opened, was sent to MSP Edward Mountain.
It is understood MSP Liz Smith was also targeted.
The MSP was block was re-opened at 1.20pm and the incident is now said to be resolved.
A Scottish Parliament spokesman said: “The emergency services have confirmed the incident is now resolved.
“Parliamentary business as well as all tours and events will go ahead as planned this afternoon.
“The MSP block is now open and Members and their staff can return to their offices.
“The Scottish Parliament building remains open to the public.”
