Eight thousand dog lovers around the globe joined in a frenzied search of a copy of a Scots calendar that has taken the Internet by storm.
The last 200 copies of Kaylee Garrick’s calendar, featuring her six Shetland sheepdogs and two Klee Kais sold out in four minutes 30 seconds on Friday to buyers from America, Canada, Australia and beyond.
An earlier batch of the calendars, which star Shelties Fenton, Thiago, Murphy,Thorin, Gimli and Yara and Klee Kais Ghost and Daenerys, saw 150 snapped up in eight minutes.
Amateur photographer Kaylee, who is an ambulance technician, compiled the calendars to raise cash for The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC) and Bravehound, which trains dogs to support former service men and women.
Kaylee, from Scalloway, Shetland, said: “I’m very shocked. People have been saying these calendars are harder to get than Glastonbury tickets, I feel like a rock star.”
The pack’s worldwide fan club took to Facebook to discuss the must-have calendars.
Top fan Mary Crosby said she was stunned at the response: “I don’t think a Louis Vuitton bag could sell out any faster than these calendars.”
