Seven orcas were spotted in the Moray Firth as they swam towards the North Sea. The pod was spotted by Sea Watch Foundation spotter Alan Airey – who contacted tour operator North 58 Sea Adventures to get a closer look. North 58 operations director Pippa Low said: “We managed to identify this pod as one that has come down from the Iceland area. “We are certainly seeing them more and more often.” Last month a pod was spotted in the Clyde Estuary.
