The 31-year-old, who has fallen out of favour at Southampton, was sold to the Saints five years ago in a £10m deal having spent four years in Glasgow. Subject to a medical, he’ll join up with his old boss Neil Lennon, under whom he won three league titles and two Scottish Cups. Fraser Forster has six England caps Current Hoops number one Scott Bain has been sidelined with a dislocated thumb, with Craig Gordon also on the Premiership champions’ books. Forster has three years left on his contract at Southampton, but is third choice behind Angus Gunn and Alex McCarthy.
