These tasty treats take 35 minutes to make, with the recipe making a batch of 16 to 24.
You’ll need
- 375g pack puff pastry
- Plain flour, for dusting
- 3 tbsp Tracklements Spiced Honey Mustard
- 450g good quality pork sausage meat (or sausages)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 small onion, peeled and very finely chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to season
Method
- Preheat oven to 200C/gas mark 6, and lightly grease two large baking trays
- Roll out the pastry until it’s approximately 30cm x 30cm – even if you bought a ready-rolled sheet, you’ll still need to roll it thinner. Cut in half lengthways.
- Divide and spread the Tracklements Spiced Honey Mustard between each oblong of pastry.
- In a bowl, mix together the sausage meat (if using sausages, snip the skins and peel), parsley, onion and season.
- Divide the mixture in two and shape each into a long sausage on top of the pastry.
- Brush one edge with beaten egg, roll up with the seam underneath and seal.
- Cut each roll into 2.5cm lengths, making a small slit in the top of each.
- Brush with the beaten egg and pop on to the baking trays.
- Bake for 20-25 mins until golden brown. Cool before serving.
