I DON’T know about you but it feels like an age since I was on my summer holiday and I’m itching for another break to recharge my batteries. I don’t think I’ll make it to Christmas without a change of scene.
I love going away at this time of year. Summer has melted away and outdoors takes on a different hue as the leaves change from lush green to deep gold and russet and fall to the ground like burnt orange confetti.
The crisp autumn days are perfect for getting out and about, blowing off the cobwebs and enjoying the natural beauty of our countryside before it gets too cold and wintry to leave the house.
Here in the UK, we’re blessed to have so many pretty spots to escape to. One of my favourites is the beautiful Lake District which feels like a little piece of Heaven on earth – regardless of the season.
