St Mirren have confirmed the departure of manager Oran Kearney.
A statement from the club said: “The Board can confirm that Oran Kearney has left the Club by mutual consent.
“The Club wish to thank Oran for his time in charge and wish him every success in the future. ”
Kearney was appointed in September of last year and kept the Paisley side in the Premiership, seeing off Dundee United in the play-off final on penalties.
It has been reported that the reason for the fan favourite’s departure is the fact that his relationship with Buddies chairman Gordon Scott had broken down.
The pair are understood to have clashed over Kearney travelling home to Northern Ireland every weekend, where his wife and family live.
Earlier this week, St Mirren cancelled a friendly clash scheduled for Saturday against Kearney’s former side Coleraine.
Alloa boss Jim Goodwin, a former St Mirren player, is one of the favourites to replace Kearney at the Simple Digital Arena.
