ALAN STUBBS is set to return to Scottish football as manager of St Mirren.
The Paisley club are understood to have offered him the job, with an announcement expected today.
Stubbs is likely to sign a three-year-deal at the newly-promoted side.
The former Hibs boss, who famously ended the club’s 114-year wait to lift the Scottish Cup, had a brief tenure at Rotherham after leaving Easter Road in 2016.
He has not managed since then, instead becoming a regular pundit on BT Sport’s Scottish football coverage.
St Mirren’s previous manager Jack Ross left the club for Sunderland having sealed the Championship title.
