Gavin & Stacey star Larry Lamb believes the comedy show will have all of its old magic when it returns after a 10-year break.
The series that followed the ups and downs of romance between Essex boy Gavin and his girlfriend Stacey, from Barry in Wales, was a huge hit when it premiered on BBC3 in 2007.
Created by James Cordon and Ruth Jones, it ran for 20 episodes before ending on BBC1 in 2018.
Larry, who plays Gavin’s dad Mick, said it is returning this year for a Christmas special.
“I’m sure the audience will shed a little tear, as well as having a lot of laughs,” he said. “James and Ruth have moved it on 10 years and maintained that special something.”
