The Fringe’s funniest joke winners from 2009 – 2018

This year’s funniest joke award has been given to a one-liner about being sacked by a job centre. 

Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe Award, now in it’s 11th year, was awarded to comedian Adam Rowe from his show Undeniable.

41% of the public agreed that Rowe’s joke was the funniest they’d heard at this year’s Fringe Festival.

The winning gag was: “Working at the Jobcentre has to be a tense job – knowing that if you get fired, you still have to come in the next day.
