THE celebrity campmates endured some high-rise terror even before reaching the jungle yesterday.
Six of the stars walked the plank on the roof of a skyscraper hotel before heading into camp.
Boxer Amir Khan, Saturdays singer Vanessa White, YouTube sensation Jack Maynard, Made In Chelsea star Georgia Toffolo and soap stars Jamie Lomas and Jennie McAlpine were the shaking six taken to the roof of a Gold Coast hotel.
Georgia and Vanessa in particular were terrified at the prospect of walking the plank 334ft up.
And while Jennie admitted she wasn’t scared of heights, she said she was worried by her poor balance.
I’m A Celebrity returns tonight at 9pm with a bumper 105-minute show.
It is presented as usual by Ant McPartlin – back at work following a spell in rehab after becoming addicted to prescription painkillers – and Declan Donnelly.
Viewers will see former footballer Dennis Wise and comedian Shappi Khorsandi undertake one of the most nerve-wracking challenges yet seen on the reality show.
While sky diving entries in the jungle are par for the course, the pair had to face doing it into water.
They had to land in a lake and then swim to a beacon and light a flare.
And Stanley Johnson was thrown in at the deep end.
The former MEP and dad of Foreign Secretary Boris was straight into jungle hell as he and Rebekah Vardy had to face a tough challenge.
Rebekah, wife of England striker Jamie Vardy said; “My worst nightmare would be putting my hand in a hole with a spider.”
And her fears were realised as spiders, rats, crabs and scorpions were just a few of the critters lurking in holes which contained tokens.
