When Tom Daley won his first ever gold medal at Tokyo 2020, he took a break from diving to do some of the other things he loved.
He turned his love of knitting into a central part of his life, and has launched his own knitting fashion label and even knitted clothes for household names.
In Made With Love, Tom will speak to inspirational people across the fields of music, social media, activism, sport and more to find out how they’ve done the same.
The new series begins with Tom speaking to one of the biggest-selling recording artists of all time – Shania Twain.
Finding out what makes her feel true purpose and happiness, Tom will ask how she found her passion and the vital role it plays in who she is today.
This will be a conversation of highs, lows and an insight into the mind of one of the world’s most famous women.
In each episode, Tom’s guests will be reading a letter to the person, place or thing that has enabled them to do what they love the most, seeing some of our favourite people at their most open.
“I started knitting in 2020 as a way to relax my brain between dives and to give my hands something to do,” says Daley. “I never thought it would become such a big part of what I do now but I’m grateful it is.
“From Splash! back in the day to most recently presenting on The One Show, I love interviewing people I look up to about what makes them tick, how they’ve ended up where they are and what they’re like behind the scenes.
“This podcast is an opportunity to do just that and find out what special passions people have in their lives that we may not know about.”
