BAYERN MUNICH have announced the appointment of Jupp Heynckes as coach until the end of the season.
The 72-year-old, who succeeds Carlo Ancelotti, has had three previous spells in charge of the German side, most recently winning a league, cup and Champions League treble in 2013.
The Bundesliga giants said in a statement that Heynckes would take over from Monday on a contract until June 30, 2018.
He replaces Carlo Ancelotti, who departed the club after they fell to a 3-0 defeat to PSG in the Champions League, having had a poor start to the season.
Bayern take on Celtic twice in Group B at the end of the month.
They’re currently level on points with the Hoops, welcoming the Scottish champions to the Allianz Arena on October 18.
They then travel to Glasgow on October 31.
