Emergency services were called to the city’s Watson Street on Thursday morning. It is understood ambulance crews performed CPR on the woman before she was taken to the nearby Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Police Scotland confirmed today the death was not suspicious and a post mortem would be carried out in due course. Tributes including flowers from local business were placed on Watson Street where it is understood the woman had a tent. Chris Corvi, owner of Guido’s Coronation Restaurant, said the woman, believed to be in her 30s, regularly came into his business. He said: “I think it is tragic in this day and age in Glasgow that this sort of thing can happen.” He described the woman as young and well mannered. Shocked staff at McKinnon’s Bar and Lounge added: “She deserves to be remembered.” Enjoy the convenience of having The Sunday Post delivered as a digital ePaper straight to your smartphone, tablet or computer.
