TWO police officers have been injured in an incident in Greenock.
A police statement said that they were were called at 8:45am to an incident in the town’s Gateside Gardens.
Two officers were subsequently injured at the scene and taken to the Inverclyde Royal Hospital.

Police Scotland said there was no further detail on their injuries, but STV report that the officers were stabbed, with one in a serious condition after sustaining a neck injury and the other suffering minor arm injuries.
A man is in custody and has also been taken to hospital.
