Going, going and soon they’ll be gone!
Hundreds of the specially decorated Oor Wullie’s Big Bucket Trail sculptures will go under the hammer this week.
Tomorrow sees the first regional charity auctions take place.
Each children’s hospital charity will be holding auctions for the sculptures in their regions. This is your chance to buy a collector’s item from Scotland’s unforgettable summer.
At the same time you will be directly benefiting some of the country’s most important charities.
The first auction, of the ARCHIE Foundation’s Dundee sculptures, will take place tomorrow at the Dundee Rep.
On Tuesday, at the Thainstone Centre in Inverurie, the ARCHIE Foundation’s Aberdeen and Inverness sculptures will go under the hammer. And on Thursday, at Prestonfield House, fans of Scotland’s most mischievous scamp will have a chance to buy Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity’s capital sculptures.
On Friday, at Kelvingrove Art Gallery, it’s the turn of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity’s statues.
Most of the large sculptures will be up for sale, including the most visited Wullies: Oor Rod (Stewart), Oor Billy (Connolly) and Oor Wullie Miller.
