GARETH BALE scored a wondergoal as Real Madrid triumphed in the Champions League final.

The Welshman came off the bench with the score level at 1-1 and it didn’t take him long to make his mark on the final.

The 28-year-old sent a stunning overhead kick flying past Liverpool keeper Loris Karius to put the Spanish giants ahead.

Bale later netted from long range, with the aid of a blunder from Karius, to make it 3-1.

It was a nightmare night for the German goalie, who gifted the opener to Karim Benzema.

Sadio Mane was on the scoresheet for Liverpool.

Astonishing scenes at the end of the match saw a pitch invader run on as Cristiano Ronaldo broke into the box.
