THE wintry weather that’s hit Scotland today is a great excuse to head outdoors and get some fresh air.
With all the snow that’s fallen, it would also be a shame not to put it to good use!
There were snowmen of all shapes and sizes in all corners of Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park today as kids and adults alike continue to enjoy their festive break.
And many looked out a sledge or even an old oven tray to hit the slopes of the popular West End park – who needs the Alps!
Glasgow saw the biggest snowfall in the UK overnight, with more than 10cm recorded in Bishopton – forcing the city’s airport, one of Scotland’s busiest, to temporarily suspend flights.
A yellow warning for ice across the north of England and Scotland, which is in place from 3pm on Friday until 12pm on Saturday, has been issued by the Met Office.
Tomorrow is set to have some bright sunshine but also rain showers.
Snow will be confined to the hills.
