ON an (unsually) sunny afternoon, the Sunday Post team set out to find out what voters have thought of all the campaigning and commotion that’s gone on over the past seven weeks.
Although the team found that the majority of the people we chatted to complained of election fatigue and were “looking forward for it to be over”, many also seemed impressed by the recent turnaround from the Jeremy Corbyn campaign.
One voter, Brian, told the Sunday Post that his wife had been out canvassing for the Green Party, and in doing so had met several people who are planning to vote for the Conservative party in an effort to prevent a second independence referendum.
The reviews of TV debates were mixed – many pointed out the notable absence of Theresa May, while others questioned how effective the formats were.
Overall, there was a sense of weariness among interviews, however Corbyn was branded “refreshing” and the local campaigning carried out by the Scottish National Party was heartily commended.
Polling stations open at 7am on Thursday June 8th.
