YouTube superstar Saffron Barker was last week announced as part of this year’s much anticipated Strictly Come Dancing line-up.
And the 19-year-old captured the moment she told her Strictly superfan grandmother the news as part of her latest vlog.
She was bursting with joy and exclaimed that Saffron was “living her dream” in the adorable video uploaded to Saffron’s YouTube channel.
With almost 1 million subscribers, 19-year-old Saffron has a best-selling book and a number of homeware ranges to her name already.
She follows in the footsteps of fellow YouTuber Joe Sugg who reached the final of the 2018 series.
Confirmed contestants for this year include footballer and pundit Alex Scott, Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing, Michelle Visage from RuPaul’s Drag Race and Coronation Street’s Catherine Tyldesley.
Also competing are former England goalkeeper David James, comedian Chris Ramsey, EastEnders’ Emma Barton, BBC Breakfast’s Mike Bushell, CBBC star Karim Zeroual, chef and model Viscountess Emma Weymouth and Paralympian Will Bayley.
