The right-back this week signed a two-year extension to commit himself to Ibrox until 2021 and he has vowed to make it a trophy-laden spell. “I want to win this league,” Tavernier said. “We’ve got the fans for it, we’ve got the squad for it, we’ve got a great squad now. That’s our aim. We are Rangers Football Club, it’s known for how many trophies it’s had and we need to add more trophies to that trophy room.” Tavernier was signed by former boss Mark Warburton from Wigan for around £200,000 back in 2015. ‘We know where we stand’: Brendan Rodgers says Celtic are underdogs against Zenit St Petersburg Enjoy the convenience of having The Sunday Post delivered as a digital ePaper straight to your smartphone, tablet or computer.
