SCOTLAND will be hotter than Greece tomorrow thanks to a subtropical sizzle – but the west faces washouts and 50mph gales.
The Met Office forecast highs of 21C tomorrow, 20C on Tuesday and 19C on Wednesday, matching last Friday’s 21.9C hottest day of the year for Scotland, set in Auchincruive, Ayrshire.
Scotland is set to be hotter than 20C Kefalonia, Greece.

The Met Office has predicted muggy conditions, with washouts and 50mph gales set for the west, before a sunnier Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursday will be fresher as the hot spell ends.
Met Office forecaster Emma Salter said: “Scotland had its hottest day of the year at 21.9C on Friday, with just a chance of that being pipped as more really warm air is arriving.
“It will be humid and muggy and the west of Scotland in particular will see rain in possibly heavy bursts, between Monday and Wednesday, and quite strong winds with 40 to 50mph gales locally in exposed parts on Monday and Tuesday.
“Fresher air moves in from Thursday.”
