TEMPERATURES are set to rise across Scotland next week with another summer heatwave on its way.
While it won’t be quite as warm as down south, where the mercury could hit a sweltering 30°C, it’s expected to hit the mid twenties in most of the country.
Before that, this weekend brings pleasant conditions too.
Friday is set to have a chilly start, but reaches the high teens in Scotland by the middle of the day.
Over the weekend, temperatures around the 20°C mark will be felt across the country.
The following week will see it get even warmer.
Met Office meteorologist Bonnie Diamond said: “This weekend will be largely dry with sunny spells and daytime temperatures around average for the time of year, but the nights will be quite chilly.
“As we move into the start of the new week however the weather will warm up, with temperatures reaching into the low to mid 20s Celsius across the country and getting warmer still from mid-week.”
